We gather to begin our journey together, stepping out onto the Broad Highway of fellowship. As we open this day, we welcome our speakers and participants, preparing our hearts to trudge the Road of Happy Destiny side-by-side. Let us join in gratitude as we start this new chapter of our shared experience.

09:15 AM - 10:00 AMNewcomer Panel

The newcomer is the lifeblood of our program. In this session, panel members will share their experience, strength, and hope regarding the early days of recovery. Whether you have days or decades of sobriety, come listen to stories of how we take those first crucial steps onto the Broad Highway.

10:00 AM - 10:15 AMBreak & Fellowship

Take a quick pause to stretch your legs, refill your coffee, and digest what we just heard. Some of the best recovery happens in the hallways; turn to a neighbour and share your thoughts before we settle in for our next speaker.

11:15 AM - 12:00 PMSobriety Countdown

From 50 years to 24 hours, every milestone matters. In this high-energy tradition, we ask members to stand and be recognized for their time in the program. It’s a powerful visual reminder that the program works, culminating in a special welcome for those just starting their journey.

12:00 PM - 01:00 PMLunch & Fellowship

Refuel for the rest of the journey! Grab some lunch and enjoy the company of your fellows. Whether you’re catching up with old friends or making new ones, keep the conversation going before we welcome Shawna R. to the podium.

AA itself has no dues or fees for membership; that’s one of the beautiful things about it. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

Roundups are a little different though. They’re not regular AA meetings; they’re optional events that have real expenses. The registration fee is not ‘paying to be in AA’; its helping cover the cost of renting the space, printing materials, coffee, and sometimes travel costs for speakers. It ties into the Seventh Tradition, which says that we are self supporting through our own contributuions. Since we do not take outside funding, the people who chose to attend the event cover the cost of putting it on.
